The Composite levers are not, as the previous ARC Flex levers, made of aluminum but of very light special plastic, which can bend in case of a fall and therefore does not break.
The special plastic compound provides a so-called "memory effect", i.e. the lever returns to its original shape after bending. It is designed to provide enough stiffness for operation, so it does not bend when braking or clutching. This only happens in the event of a fall.
In addition, the COMPOSITE levers are also adjustable to the size of the hand or in position and can fold away forward due to the joint in the event of a fall. Compared to other products on the market, the ARC levers are characterized by virtually no bearing play, high-quality materials and high manufacturing quality.
