ARC COUPLING FITTING DC8 - COMPOSITE

Identical in construction to the RC8-Composite, but with simplified cable take-up and cable adjustment enabling a top price. Factory level of the original ARC fittings at a reasonable price.
The DC8-Composite is characterized by the low bearing clearance of the lever bearing. This results in a direct and undistorted transmission of the hand force to the clutch. No disturbing wobbling of the lever. Due to this and the ergonomically optimal arrangement, the lever permanently lies perfectly in the hand. The use of high-quality materials, the very precise processing and the high-quality surface treatment lead the ARC fittings to a level of quality previously unattained in the off-road market.
Inaddition to the well-known ARC Flex lever, the DC8 composite also contains a thin nylon slip sleeve on the handlebar clamps

This allows in the event of a fall a rotation of the complete armature around the handlebars and thus prevent a breakage of the lever or the armature.
Compared to the standard DC8, the DC8-Composite has a composite flex lever
| The composite levers are not, as the previous ARC Flex levers, made of aluminum but of very light special plastic, which can bend in the event of a fall and thus does not break. The special plastic compound provides a so-called "memory effect", i.e. the lever returns to its original shape after bending. It is designed to provide enough stiffness for operation, so it does not bend when braking or clutching. This only happens in the event of a fall. In addition, the COMPOSITE levers are also adjustable to the size of the hand or in position and can fold away forward due to the joint in the event of a fall. Compared to other products on the market, the ARC levers are characterized by virtually no bearing play, high-quality materials and high manufacturing quality. |
