The spacers allow the lowering of motorcycles in the rear area. The spacer is simply installed in the shock absorber, more precisely between the retaining ring of the sealing head and the sealing head itself. This limits the stroke of the shock absorber because the shock absorber can now deflect less far by the height dimension of the spacer.
Example: With the 6mm spacer the stroke of the shock absorber is shortened by 6mm, at the rear wheel this corresponds to a reduction of the spring travel of about 20mm and thus a 20mm lower position of the rear. With the 10mm spacer it would be a lowering of about 30mm at the rear. The installation of the spacer has no influence on the functioning of the shock absorber. The spacer can be removed again and thus the bike back to the original height.
