WP N2 aluminum separating piston with guide
The WP damper uses a so-called separating piston to separate oil and nitrogen in the damper. This separating piston has an O-ring for sealing ex works, but is not guided by a piston band or bushing. In some situations, the piston can tilt and get stuck in the housing. This results in poor shock response, kicking of the rear wheel and wear on the piston/housing
,which is why we have an aluminum separating piston in our range that eliminates the problems of the original plastic separating piston by using an existing piston
band. The piston is perfectly guided by the piston band and therefore has less friction and thus better response behavior. Tilting is no longer possible.
The effective design of the piston allows the amount of oil in the shock to be increased slightly, which leads to better lubrication and cooling.
A small part that will improve your shock performance in the long term.
Can be fitted as part of a service or tun
